I’m participated in Journal Swap with my Etsy Bloggers friends. I have to make or buy the journal and start to write down on March 1, 2010 til March 31, 2010 and then send to my swap mate.. and I will get one from my swap mate (not the same person).. Normally I have to make this journal long time ago.. but I forgot and manage my time table to make it today.. but not the whole journal coz I plan to attach them together at the end of the month.. here is the cover that I made..
This is the front side of cover..
This is back side of the cover..
Zoom for details..
I used my Thai Lotto Ticket to make Patchwork on the cover.. You can buy this Lotto Tickets – Here!!
Here is Patchwork How-to..
I trim the rim of Tickets.. actually you can use all..
Then cut them all to small pieces..
The larger pieces, The faster finishing..
but large pieces will give you rough patterns..
Attach to the cardboard.. but I used card paper (220gram) instead..
I don’t want this journal too heavy coz this is A4 size..
Glue them (I used Glue Stick).. I started at the rim first.. and overlap the edge for more beautiful touch..
Full already.. now flip to back side..
Fold the exceeding paper and glue them to the back..
You will have some gaps.. just glue the papers to all..
When finish all gap covers, cut out another paper smaller than the journal cover about half inch in all sides and attach it at the back side of journal cover..
don’t worry about the overlap rim.. just fold it back and glue to the front..
And now you get one side of your journal cover.. make another one..
But they are not yet finished.. I will make a book label and add some decorations to the front.. will show you later..
Thank you Deb of Storybeader who started this Journal Swap..
