Kitty Cat…

I got a request from my EtsyBloggers friend – Sharla (aka BeadedTail).. after she received “Love At Heart Pendant” as a surprise gift from me, she saw that pendant was beaded and wonder can I make any beaded item in shape of CAT..

Actually, I’m so crazy on making beaded items especially animals but it takes time and material to make so I haven’t made much as I want.. and at first start business, I didn’t have much money to spend for all materials for beaded items too.. that’s why you don’t see any in my shop now.. But I have many patterns for beaded items – animal, mascot, fruit, cakes, and any miniatures..

Luckily, I’ve just ordered 500pcs of clear crystals so I can try to make a cat for her.. This is my first tried.. We already discussed that we love the Hello Kitty pattern but she doesn’t want a bow on the ear.. and while I was making, I used the heart shape crystals as ears which is different from the original pattern..

I didn’t do the necklace like in the original too.. One thing that my Mom commented before I showed to Sharla is the nose is so pale which Sharla agreed with this..

I think the pattern is so cute.. and I want to make this one.. but I have to think about the size coz it’s still big to use as pendant.. it can be a brooch.. but maybe too heavy.. the original size of bead must be 3mm but I used 4mm that’s why it’s too big.. maybe I have to think about order 3mm beads for beading miniatures..

Origami Flower..

Origami is Japanese word for Paper Folding.. when I was a teenager, paper folding was very popular as a gift to someone you admire.. folding many hundreds of tiny cranes is showing how much you admire that person.. Hundreds of cranes were put in the glass jars with beautiful ribbons.. Several patterns of paper folding that I made to put in jars.. Cranes, Stars, Turtles, and Boats..

I stopped making Origami since I was in High School.. many many years already.. My interest in Origami was come back when I saw the Origami Flower for Cupcake Topping in MarthaStewart.com.. I thought at that time I must find out how to make it.. and I found how.. but I still didn’t decide what kind of paper I will use.. then one day, Mom asked me to check all her lottery as usual and when I looked at the colorful Lotto papers I decided this paper will be my material for my Origami Flowers..

Let’s see how beautiful this flower came out..

Normally, it will have 5 petals but I like 6 petals..

Here are the Lotto Papers.. I think they are great for scrapbook too…

Now all these papers are available in my shop – PatchSupplyShop.etsy.com

You can see the instructions at Folding Tree..

What do you think about this paper flower?? Do you think I can sell this paper flower?? :D
